Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  North America: known only from the Arkansas River drainage in southwestern Missouri, northwestern Arkansas, Kansas, Oklahoma and Colorado, USA.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Usually occurs over mud in spring-fed vegetated headwaters and creeks.
