Family:  Epigonidae (Deepwater cardinalfishes)
Max. size:  6.95 cm TL (male/unsexed); 6.68 cm SL (female)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 20 - 200 m
Distribution:  Western Central Pacific: currently known only from Palau.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  It may be possible that the species may occur in deeper water and migrate to shallow water for spawning or feeding (Ref. 58473). Reported from a cave facing the drop off of the fringing reef of Palau at a depth of about 20 m (Ref. 93890).
