Family:  Bothidae (Lefteye flounders)
Max. size:  7 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  bathydemersal; marine; depth range 41 - 300 m
Distribution:  Western Central Pacific: Chesterfield Plateau, Bellona Plateau, and southern New Caledonia.
Diagnosis:  Anal soft rays: 67-76. Caudal fin long (1.15 to 1.33 times in head length) (Ref 42535).
Biology:  Inhabits sand bottoms. Lives mainly at depths of about 200 m (Ref. 9558).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 04 March 2015 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
