Max. size:  6.48 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; depth range 0 - 2 m
Distribution:  Asia: Pahang and Mawai, Johor, southeastern Peninsular Malaysia (Ref. 12325) and Sumatra, Indonesia (Ref. 13275).
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 25-25; Anal soft rays: 51-53
Biology:  Occurs in shaded blackwaters in coastal peat swamps about 20 m from the sea, among submerged shore vegetation and branches at a depth between 0.5 and 1.5 m.
