Family:  Chaenopsidae (Pike-, tube- and flagblennies)
Max. size:  5 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 1 - 10 m
Distribution:  Eastern Central Pacific: Gulf of California.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits empty mollusk tubes on sand-rubble bottoms. Feeds on zooplankton. Males are somewhat territorial (Ref. 37955).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 25 May 2007 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
