Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range - 21 m
Distribution:  Western Indian Ocean: Oman, Arabian Sea.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 7-7; Dorsal soft rays (total): 8-8; Anal spines: 1-1; Anal soft rays: 8-8; Vertebrae: 26-26
Biology:  Collected from a drop-off with small caves and ledges. Occur in groups of 10 to at least 20, hovering in the water column near small holes and crevices where they could retreat into in case of danger. May be feeding on zooplankton with short darting movements.
