Environment:  reef-associated; marine
Distribution:  Western Indian Ocean: known only from the Red Sea.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found on open sand bottoms of clear water reefs (Ref. 9710). Lives in association with alpheid shrimps.
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 25 June 2018 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
