Cosmocampus heraldi (Fritzsche, 1980)

Max. size:  7 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 6 - 23 m
Distribution:  Southeast Pacific: Desventuradas Is. and Juan Fernández Is.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found over rocky reefs and sand bottoms. Males may mature at 7 cm SL. Ovoviviparous (Ref. 205). The male carries the eggs in a brood pouch which is found under the tail (Ref. 205).
