Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Euorpe: Lake Beloye [Belozero], northern Volga drainage (60° 11' N, 37°34' E) in Russia. Invasive in the upper and middle Volga reservoirs downriver to Saratov reservoir.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  A lacustrine species. Attains first sexual maturity at 2 years, males may spawn for the first time in their first year (Ref. 59043).
