Max. size:  37.2 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  bathypelagic; depth range 1370 - 1600 m
Distribution:  Eastern Atlantic: off Azores Island. South Atlantic (31°S, 3°E), Indian Ocean (11°25'S, 88°52'E) and Pacific (19°49'N, 151°48'E).
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 19-19; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 27-27
