Family:  Pomacentridae (Damselfishes), subfamily: Chrominae
Max. size:  13 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 30 - 150 m, non-migratory
Distribution:  Eastern Pacific: Mexico and the Galapagos Islands. One record from Cocos Island.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 13-13; Dorsal soft rays (total): 12-14; Anal spines: 2-2; Anal soft rays: 12-13
Biology:  Adults inhabit coral and rocky reefs (Ref. 9334). Feed mainly on plankton (Ref. 9334). Oviparous, distinct pairing during breeding (Ref. 205). Eggs are demersal and adhere to the substrate (Ref. 205). Males guard and aerate the eggs (Ref. 205).
