Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 353-353; Anal soft rays: 316-315; Vertebrae: 120-120. Distinguished from its congeners by its bicolored pigmentation, dorsal origin approximately one eye-diameter behind gill opening and the low vertebral count [total 120 (118+, incomplete, tail regenerated), predorsal 12, preanal 35, precaudal 54] (Ref. 106145).
