Family:  Serranidae (Sea basses: groupers and fairy basslets)
Max. size:  12.2 cm SL (male/unsexed); max.weight: 3.6 g
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 180 - 320 m
Distribution:  Western Indian Ocean: Arabian Sea, including west coast of India, Pakistan, the Gulf of Oman, and off Socotra Island near the mouth of the Gulf of Aden.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found usually on continental shelf and slope muddy bottoms and caught by bottom trawl (Ref. 114767).
