Family:  Triglidae (Searobins), subfamily: Triglinae
Max. size:  32 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 15 - 200 m
Distribution:  Eastern Central Atlantic: Cape Verde (Ref. 27000) and Gulf of Guinea. Western Atlantic: near the South American shelf (Ref. 4883).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits sand and rubble bottoms from the shoreline to about 200 m depth (Ref. 3699).

Threat to humans:  harmless
