Environment:  bathydemersal; marine; depth range 410 - 590 m
Distribution:  Southeast Pacific: known from three seamounts on the Sala y Gomez Ridge, between Chile and Easter Island.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 111-118; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 71-81; Vertebrae: 52-56. About one-fourth to one-third of lower jaw length projecting anterior to upper jaw symphysis; upper jaw length 0.98-1.18 in HL, lower jaw length 0.67-0.83; pectoral fins asymmetrical, fin on ocular side slightly longer than on blind side (Ref. 10737).
