Environment:  bathydemersal; marine; depth range 98 - 1270 m
Distribution:  North Pacific: off Kushiro, Japan and from the Sea of Okhotsk to the Bering Sea.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 61-65; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 54-59. Snout projecting; gill opening wholly above pectoral fin; pectoral fin unnotched; disk length 11.7 to 19.6% of head length (Ref. 559). Body dusky-pink; vertical fins black; peritoneum black; stomach pale (Ref. 559).
