Family:  Bythitidae (Viviparous brotulas), subfamily: Bythitinae
Max. size:  6.35 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  reef-associated; depth range 9 - 55 m
Distribution:  Western Central Atlantic: Bahamas, Grand Cayman Island and Dominica. Antilles (Ref. 26938).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Uncommon species (Ref. 34024). Inhabits coral reefs and is a live-bearing species (Ref. 5521). Minimum depth reported taken from Ref. 5521.
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 29 January 2013 Ref. (120744)
Threat to humans:  harmless
