Max. size:  30 cm TL (male/unsexed); max.weight: 350.0 g
Environment:  demersal; marine
Distribution:  Western Central Atlantic: Venezuela. Status of threat from Ref. 11858.
Diagnosis:  Anal soft rays: 19-21. Fine filaments, no scales, over top of head (Ref. 26938).
Biology:  Inhabits shallow muddy bottoms. Abundant in mangrove-lined lagoons. Feeds mainly on small gastropod mollusks and crustaceans. Marketed fresh, but the flesh is of low quality.
