Distribution:  South America: Peru.
Diagnosis:  This species is distinguished by the following characters: no spine on adipose fin; maxillary barbel extending beyond the oral disk; first pectoral radius longer than head longitude; soft branching radii 8; first radius of pelvic fin beyond the anus; premaxillary with 1-2 bicuspid and 6-7 conical teeth in the outermost row; first simple radii of caudal fin no extension; fifth cerato-branchial bone with 8 teeth; free vertebrae 26 (Ref. 126791).
