Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; brackish; marine
Distribution:  Indo-Pacific: Gulf of Thailand, Sumatra, Borneo, Sulawesi and Malaya.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 11-11; Dorsal soft rays (total): 22-25; Anal spines: 2-2; Anal soft rays: 7-9
Biology:  Inhabits shallow coastal waters, estuaries and rivers (Ref. 9772). A food fish.
