Max. size:  13 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 26 - 50 m
Distribution:  Western Pacific: Australia, from southern Queensland to Sydney. Unconfirmed report from the Bismarck Archipelago.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 96-101; Anal soft rays: 77-80. Body depth 1.9 to 2.1 times in SL. Scales cycloid on eyed side. Maximum total length 13 cm (Ref 42535).
Biology:  Feeds on benthic animals.
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 11 November 2019 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
