Distribution:  Northwest Pacific: southern Japan and Taiwan (Ref. 12711).
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 10-11; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 10-13. Body elongate and cylindrical. Base of anal fin not longer than base of dorsal fin. Snout longer than eye diameter. Mouth small, the upper jaw protruding. No teeth present on jaws.
Biology:  Found in the upper bathyal, 225-385 m on sandy mud bottom (Ref. 11230).
