Family:  Pentanchidae (Deepwater catsharks)
Max. size:  43 cm TL (male/unsexed); 45 cm TL (female)
Environment:  bathydemersal; marine; depth range 500 - 1000 m
Distribution:  Western Central Atlantic: leeward islands off Antigua and Anguilla.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  A deepwater bottom shark found on the insular slopes off the leeward islands. Oviparous (Ref. 50449). Poorly known. Not utilized at present.
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 18 June 2019 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
