Environment:  benthopelagic; marine; depth range 0 - 16 m
Distribution:  Western Indian Ocean: occurs between Delagoa Bay, Mozambique and Durban, South Africa.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 36-40; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 33-36. Body silvery white.
Biology:  Occurs from the intertidal to at least 16 m.
