Family:  Muraenidae (Moray eels), subfamily: Uropterygiinae
Max. size:  17 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; depth range - 0 m
Distribution:  Indo-Pacific: Chagos Islands to the Hawaiian and Society islands, south to the southern Great Barrier Reef.
Diagnosis:  Uniformly light brown.
Biology:  Inhabits the interstices of the reef. Benthic (Ref. 58302).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 16 August 2011 Ref. (120744)
Threat to humans:  harmless
