Comments: Type locality, Lake Bato, Camarines Sur and Lake Lanigay, Albay, southern Luzon. Both lakes are connected with tributaries of Bicol River which empties into San Miguel Bay of the China Sea (Ref. 12760). Museum: an immature male specimen, 1.95 cm SL, collected from type locality, was designated as lectotype by Böhlke, CAS-SU 24475. CAS-SU 18148 (paralectotypes). Cabangan River, Albay, Bikol, Luzon, CAS 53165; UMMZ 21165. Guinobatan River, AMNH 50592; CAS 50722 (Ref. 12768). Endemic status computed from FishBase data (country records, occurrences records in literature and in point data) on 16/07/08. Also Ref. 280, 94476.
