Σχόλια | 'Clark' refers to Captain William Clark of the Lewis and Clark Expedition (p. 183 in Ref. 1998); 'trout' from Middle English from Old English 'truht' from Low Latin 'trocta, tructa', i.e., a fish with sharp teeth, from Greek 'troktes', i.e., gnawer, from 'trogein', i.e., to gnaw (p. 1266 in Ref. 11978). Most anglers consider this fish of inferior sporting quality, it is a hard fighter and strikes a wide selection of lures (p. 182 in Ref. 1998). |
